There’s a boy up on the hill
Walking through gardens hacking flowers with a stilt
Spent the day all on his own
Thought about moving to the desert with his dog
Maybe they could make a kingdom come

Tried to catch the train, watched it go by
Went home for some food, they asked what’d you find

There’s a girl down by the bay
She told me a story bout a land real far away
A sea of sand as white as clouds
everyone has a place to go when rain comes down
Apples grow enormous as a house

Trying to explain, they roll their eyes
Grabbed his dog and went out in the night
Looking for a place where he won’t have to fight
Sitting on the swings, hears the train rolling by
